Merit

UltraPOD®

UltraPOD® is Merit's expandable full building solution and can be used as a standalone building in its singular form or multiple UltraPODs can be configured to create a larger building.

Each UltraPOD® is made up of several offsite manufactured components and products which can be mixed and matched depending on a number of customer priorities including:

  • Scale of building
  • Height of cleanrooms and manufacturing equipment
  • Type of products
  • Timescales required for completion
  • Site constraints
  • Budget
  • Flexibility and future expandability

Example UltraPOD®

  • Custom POD modular buildings up to 1000m²
  • Instant building concept delivery
  • Design developed fully in-house
  • Merit specifies all process equipment with fixed price agreed in three weeks
  • 95% pre-manufactured value (PMV)
  • Adaptable / scalable to customer's requirements
  • Integrated HEPA filtration
  • 16-25 ACH, negative pressure cascade

Can be used for small scale new-build facilities, including but not limited to:

  • Mobile or fixed facilities
  • Diagnostics facilities
  • Incubator facilities
  • Laboratories with CL2, CL3 and CL4 designs
  • Satellite development and deployment facilities
  • Infection control GMP facilities
  • Aseptic suites
  • Vaccine facilities

The following floor plan is based on a satellite diagnostics hub on a live hospital site containing an MRI scanning suite, a CT scanning suite and adjacent auxiliary areas. This facility comprises of nine UltraPODs configured in parallel, as well as comprising 27 Pre-Assembled Modules (PAM).
