Comprehensive Turnkey Solutions for Cutting-Edge Warehouse and Cleanroom Facilities

Merit served as the principal contractor for a state-of-the-art design and build project for TEVA Pharmaceuticals, which included the construction of a new product warehousing, cold rooms and GMP cleanrooms. The project covered an impressive footprint of 6,730m² and was executed with a focus on safety, efficiency and compliance with strict industry regulations.

The centrepiece of the project was a single-storey warehouse extending over 4,000m². This facility featured fully operational loading docks and a GMP cold room designed for optimal temperature control. Additionally, we undertook the construction of a separate facility specifically for GMP manufacturing processes, which included three floors of advanced cleanrooms and designated plant areas. Our integrated approach ensured that the new structures complemented the existing facility seamlessly, enhancing overall operational capabilities.

Throughout the project's lifecycle, establishing effective communication and providing consistent programme reporting were critical. We prioritised transparency, ensuring that TEVA was aware of our progress and scheduling, thus facilitating smooth coordination with their daily operations.

Simultaneously, we executed the construction of an Ophthalmic Cleanroom Facility. This included essential civil works such as new foundations, drainage and ground floor slabs. The project also involved erecting a robust steel frame and a cladding envelope, ensuring durability and compliance with industry standards. Each cleanroom area underwent stringent certification and validation processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Merit’s attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and commitment to quality resulted in the successful delivery of both the warehouse and cleanroom facilities, all completed within the aggressive project timeline.
